The book i'm reviewing is called Elijah of Buxton. Elijah of Buxton is a story about 11-year old Elijah Freeman who lives in Buxton, Canada. It is a settlement of runaways slaves near the American border. Elijah is the first child in town to be born free, so most people know about him and he is the best at chunking rocks and catching fish. What most people see is a boy who is scared of snakes and talks too much. Most of the time nothing happens but everything changes when a thief steals money from Elijah's friend who is saving up to buy his family out of captivity in the south. It's now Elijahs job to track down the thief. Will he get the money back? Will he get back home? You will have to read the book and find out. This book is recommended for 10 to 12 year olds because younger people might not know what slaves are and there are injuries in this book.

Personally I don't enjoy this book very much but I do think other people might enjoy this book and if you like adventure boo ks I definitely read this book!

Annie Brown, a 15 years old girl during U.S. Civil War of 1861 and the Harper's Ferry raid. Her father, John Brown who often away from home and his family, and most of time, Annie and her father doesn't really talk at each other. Her brother, Owen, Oliver, Watson, Salmon, and few others; and one brother, Frederick, had died. Her sisters Ruth, Sarah, and late Amelia but Annie doesn't really talk about Amelia for nearly 13 years in the book. And Annie, she worries of possibly losing one man that she loved; Dauphin Thompson who later in the book got killed in the raid along with Oliver, Albert Hazlett, Johnny Cook, and few others. But overall, this book really good, telling you about people that most people doesn't know, but most of us knew and heard of John Brown. - Happy Reading!

This is an amazing book! Go on Stacy's adventure as she finds her true love. She knows the boy Scott, who she loves loves her to. At least that is what she thinks. But one walk on the pier can change her love for Scott and change the world for her. Meanwhile Maryanne is not having a good time. While Stacy goes out to talk to Scott she's stack babysitting. She's getting all the work! They would get payed to babysit the Pikes and she felt like Stacy did none of it. Will Stacy find new love or still love Scott? Will Maryanne forgive Stacy? Join there adventure when you read this amazing book.

Jemima Emerson, a 15 years old girl who always run on from her tutor, John Reid. Jem's brothers, Dan who was a captain in Continental Line Army and David, who was a soldier. Her older sister, Rebeckah "Becky" who married one British officer, Lit. Blakely. Her childhood friend, Raymond Moore along with his siblings, Becky and Isaac. Later in the book, things got really intense, like Mr. James Emerson got killed by the Hessians, David got killed and buried somewhere in Virginia. And Jemima realized that he loved John Reid, more than just a tutor and later married him later in the book. - Happy Reading!

Mary Anne used to be a shy girl whose father was very strict. But that's not the same anymore! Mary Anne is growing up and is becoming more of a person herself. She LOVES Cam Geery, who she thinks is super cute. So when a new kid, Logan moves in, and looks just like Cam, she's in heaven. It turns out that Logan likes Mary Anne back! Logan wants to join the bsc, too. Mary Anne thinks she's too shy- and the rest of the bsc aren't too sure about letting Logan join. Will Logan join in the end? You'll have to read the book to find out! I gave it 2 stars because I prefer the original bsc books more, and it was a little mushy.

Ellen and William Craft, the two fugitive slaves who escaped from slavery in the South of Georgia. In the first part of the story, there's are mini biographies of Ellen and William. Their masters, unlike any other masters were very kind. Ellen, who is Black but light-skinned, could pass for a White. Ellen, herself disguised as a white man of Mr. Johnson, her disguise name by the idea of her husband, William. Their escape was long, difficult but also very intense. I would recommend anyone who loves history! - Happy Reading!

Tsunami one of the dragonets of the prophecy who are destined to stop the war that has been going on for eighteen years. After the dragonets escape from Queen Scarlets Palace Tsunami finds out that she is the SeaWing queen's daughter. The Dragonets decide to go to the Kingdom of the Sea so that Tsunami can meet her mother, Queen Coral. They can meet Blister, one of the rival SandWing princesses who started the whole war by competing for the throne. Tsunami gets attacked and they find out that someone has been killing eggs. They find out that Orca a daughter of Queen Coral who died, had enchanted a statue to kill the eggs, the last one hatches, and they call it Auklet. But when they want to leave to see Blaze, Blister and Queen Coral Put them in jail. Then Anemone another daughter of Queen Coral has animus powers. She acks a horn to go and get the person that attacked Tsunami, and they find out that it was someone. READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT THE REST.

Island of the Blue Dolphins is about a girl named Karana who got left on her island to live alone. While she was gathering roots with her brother Ramo, she saw the Aleut ship and watched it carefully. Her brother thought it was a cloud, then a whale ,then a canoe. Ramo was quick to make things up. Karana kept digging roots but her hands were trembling with excitement. When she filled the basket with roots, the Aleut ship had almost docked. She crouched in the toyon bushes, trying to hide herself. She saw six men with long oars they had broad faces and their hair fell over their faces. At the back of the boat stood a man with a yellow beard. She had never seen a Russian before and wondered why he looked so angry. Then, the man spoke. He said, "I come in peace and wish to parley." Her father came up to him, thrust his spear into the ground and told this man his name. His true name. This startled Karana for they only give their real names to people whom they trust the most. The next morning had little wind. The Russian's name was Captain Orlov. He tried to bargain with Karana's father. He said the parts of the island shall be equal. They said more but Karana did not here because she was so excited she dropped a rock wich fell off the cliff she was on. Everyone looked up. Silently, she left the Toyon bushes and ran to the mesa. I highly recommend this book it is entertaining and suspensive.
