This special edition of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone has a gorgeous new cover illustration by Kazu Kibuishi. Inside is the full text of the original novel, with decorations by Mary GrandPré.

Harry Potter has never been the star of a Quidditch team, scoring points while riding a broom far above the ground. He knows no spells, has never helped to hatch a dragon, and has never worn a cloak of invisibility.

All he knows is a miserable life with the Dursleys, his horrible aunt and uncle, and their abominable son, Dudley — a great big swollen spoiled bully. Harry’s room is a tiny closet at the foot of the stairs, and he hasn’t had a birthday party in eleven years.

But all that is about to change when a mysterious letter arrives by owl messenger: a letter with an invitation to an incredible place that Harry — and anyone who reads about him — will find unforgettable.

For it’s there that he finds not only friends, aerial sports, and magic in everything from classes to meals, but a great destiny that’s been waiting for him… if Harry can survive the encounter.

I thought that Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone was really cool. It was worth reading. It is my second favorite book.my favorite chapter is the last one. it is called the man with two heads. In my opinion, this book should be ages 7 and up. It was great!

This book is soooo good for sure 10 out of 10. Also fun fact this book was not supposed to be a classic but it had become a classic!

This book is so beautiful I loved the part where when Hermione says .”it’s leviOsa not levosA.” Harry lives with his uncle amd aunt with his annoying cousin Dudley. Harry is known as weak and pathetic to the human worlds but smart and brave in the wizarding world.

Nice summary! Also, I loved that part too!

If anyone who read the comment who has not read the book, the uncles name is Vernan and the aunts name is Peutunia.

The book Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone is a wonderful book to read if you enjoy books that involve magic, potions, and pastries. Harry Potter is a famous boy for a scar on his head. He does not have any parents and he lives with the Dursleys. He has never played any sport on a broomstick, he also has never had an invisibility cloak. All he knows right now is that he lives with the Dursleys and he does not like the Dursleys. One day he gets a mysterious letter by an owl messenger but he is not allowed to read it. What he does not know is that he belongs at Hogwarts just like his parents did. What do you think The school of Hogwarts is? Where do you think he got his famous scar? I highly recommend you read this book!
