LOST

Brian Robertson, sole passenger on a Cessna 406, is on his way to visit his father when the tiny bush plane crashes in the Canadian wilderness. With nothing but his clothing, a tattered windbreaker, and the hatchet his mother had given him as a present, Brian finds himself completely alone.

Challenged by his fear and despair -- and plagued with the weight of a dreadful secret he's been keeping since his parent's divorce -- brian must tame his inner demons in order to survive. It will take all his know-how and determination, and more courage than he knew he possessed.

An action packed adventure full of real world challenges, bears, survival skills and much, much, more!

I read this every year to my 4th grade class. It's about survival and the will to live. A "must" read!

Logan. Logan.

Hatchet is a great book. I love how Brian can find a way to survive on his own in the wild. I would like to be able to do what he can do, like making a make shift bow and arrow or spear a fish with a sear fashioned by a branch from a tree.

I read this book to my class and they really enjoyed it.

my teacher is reading this book and there is so many copies of the book that we all got one

This book was very good and very entertaining as well. For me it was a pretty easy book to understand vocabulary and it only took me about a week to finish it because it only had 181 pages ( not including the extra pages on the back that had questions on the book for an activity, if i would have included those pages the whole book would've been 186 pages long. ) Overall it was a VERY good book and i highly enjoyed it.
