I love this book. People think getting their braces on is the worst thing ever until they read this book. Then you realize that there are things much worse than that.

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

i LOOOOOOOOOVE this book. It was very detailed and showed how just a small change could change your life. I have braces as well so I know what Raina was going through. But without the teeth taking out and stuff.
is this book appropriate for a 4th grade, because I went to target and my dad said it was not yet?
I love this book because I have braces and I know how Raina feels

This is a great book. It is not that hard of a read. I really recommend you read it. If your school does book fairs, you might find it there. That is where I got my copy. FIVE STARS!!
